Skalitude Washington Retreat

 Theme:

Honoring Mothers and Divine Feminine

May 6-8, 2016

Not only for Mothers, but anyone–woman or man–who has “mothered” or cared for others, or has worked too hard. This will be a weekend of learning to care for yourself. We will look at balancing yang / masculine / “doing” with yin / feminine / “being”. We will also learn and practice caring for our inner child, something that few of us were taught or modeled growing up. But it is never too late to learn how to give to ourselves that which we perhaps did not get from our parents or others.

Price of $325 per person includes:

IMG_0687Yoga, meditation, breath practices, silent meditation hike, teachings on emotional integrity,  exercises to awaken your deepest, most joyful and passionate Self. There will also be Oneness Blessings offered all weekend. Everything is optional. Price includes organic meals, shared accommodations, sauna, short hike, all yoga and meditation classes.

Yoga

Enjoy breath-connected, traditional, body friendly, meditative morning and afternoon yoga with Roy Holman and Liz Gross.

Schedule

Note: As the theme of this weekend is learning to honoring, nurture and trust yourself, this schedule is totally option, flexible and up to you!

Friday:  We begin with a gentle yoga class around 5:30 Friday, for those who can make it by then. Then a beautiful organic dinner (we will fit your dietary needs or avoid allergies), then a post-dinner circle to connect, meditate and get to know one another.

Saturday:  We stat the day with an optional morning meditation at 7am, then yoga around 7:30, followed by a smorgasbord, healthy breakfast. We will then have a short mindfulness hike, followed by a playshop to help us learn the art of self nurturing, then a light lunch. There will be an option to take an afternoon sauna or nap or stroll, then an afternoon yoga class with Liz, followed by a delicious dinner. Possible post-dinner kirtan / singing / chanting for those with energy.

Sunday: Again, morning meditation and / or yoga, followed by a delicious buffet brunch. Then a silent meditation walk. Then a short playshop and closing circle. We will finish by 1:00pm so there is time for a relaxing drive home.

Scenic Drive

The drive is nearly four hours, but this is no ordinary drive! We usually car pool, taking Highway 2 one way, and Highway 20 the other way. Both are part of the North Cascades loop, one of the most beautiful drives in the country, and it gives us time to relax, connect, and enjoy great scenery enroute.

People signed up for this retreat so far: Roy, Liz, Hannah, Christine, Sara, Michele and Alicia
