Come celebrate the Goddess energies
on the beautiful island of Lesvos
Why Greece?
Greece has been an amazing destination for many years. Recently, the country has gone through some challenges, but those challenges have opened up some amazing bargains. So we not only found amazing accommodations at bargain prices, but we have a chance to support the island’s economy and this family run business when they need it most. Lesvos is the island that the Pope visited in 2015 to bring words of hope and solitary to the refugees who were staying on the island at that time. The island is beautiful and there are no refugee problems where we will be staying.
Accommodations for our Greece Retreat
We stay 7 nights / days at the wonderful Milelja Yoga Retreat Center on Lesvos. They have a beautiful, sacred round yoga den, great swimming pool, nice grounds to wander, sauna, and wonderful meals. Yoga retreat groups return every year, so it was hard for me to reserve a space, as it is so popular (a very good sign that I look for when I book retreats!). Ten minute walk to the beach, and 15 minute walk to the amazing town of Molyvos, with wonderful Greek ambiance and great food! At right is a pic of Molyvos at night.
Sacred space for our Yoga and Meditation
Milelja has a wonderful sacred space for our daily yoga, meditation and other healing activities. Please see pic at left. They also have a nice swimming pool and nice garden setting for relaxing and strolling. Nice views of Molyvos and the beach in the not too distance.
Retreat Itinerary
Enjoy up to twice daily Yoga, Meditation, Playshops on various healing, growth and empowerment themes, kirtan (call and response heart chanting), hiking, swimming and other possible side trips (see below).
Most Meals Included
2/3 of the meals are included. Daily buffet breakfasts, four lunches, and three dinners. We leave one meal on our own each day (or with group) to sample the amazing food and restaurants in Molyvos, which is renowned for its Greek ambiance. At right is a pic of one of the most popular local dining establishments, with outside seating, which we will visit.

Lesvos West
This excursion will give you a very nice picture of the natural beauties of the rocky, western part of the island. We first visit the monastery of Lemonos which was founded in the 15th century and its museum of old icons. Then we follow the road up and down the hills to Vatousa, a traditional village for a coffee break and a walk around in the streets! Our next stop is the world’s most famous Petrified Forest. After intense geological and volcanic activity the trees were covered by volcanic ash and due to chemical reactions the wood turned to stone. Last stop of the day is at Skala Eresos, a little old fisher village with a wonderful sandy beach. Enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants by the sea or just walk around the small streets with little shops, restaurants and coffee bars. We return via the same road or via Mesotopo (if we have guests from Kalloni) Guided in English
Every Thursday
Price: €37.00 for adults, €19.00 children 7-12 and 0-6 for free!!
Traditional Village
Enjoy an evening in the picturesque village of Sikaminia and its sister village of Skala Sikaminia. Stoll around narrow winding cobbled streets of the mountain village of Sikaminia or relax and enjoy an ice coffee “frape” at a kafenion (a typical traditional cafe’) and taste a handmade delicious almond flavored local ‘wedding sweet’ in the shady village square. Then take the opportunity to sample some Greek social history in the interesting local museum. The evening continues in Skala Sikaminia (one of the most beautiful harbors of the island ) … as the sun sets of the Aegean Sea and the Turkish coast you will be enchanted by the view and be able to walk to the tiny Mermaid Virgin church at the edge of this atmospheric port. A glass of ouzo or wine and ‘meze’ supper is served for you in a charming quayside tavern.
Every Wednesday
PRICE: 25.00€ adults / 12.50€ children
Hiking tour North Lesvos
You will be taken by taxi or minibus to the small and picturesque village Petri, from where we start our walk. Although we will not make many kilometers (5-6) we will need about 2-2 1/2 hours to get to the other beautiful village Vafios, as on our way there is so much to be seen: you can admire the ruins of old watermills in the Ligonas valley, fantastic views at the north and west coast of the island and the small old lovely church of saint Dimitris, just 300m. Out on our way of course we are going to walk over quiet unpaved land roads, as well as climbing a bit up over a small goat path. We start at a height of about 220m and come to about 325m. At the end of the walk we will have dinner in Vafios, where we will be served lovely traditional food (excluded) while enjoying the sunset and marvelous view at Molyvos.
At this point you can totally relax, as taxi or minibus will take us from the tavern down again.
Every Tuesday
PRICE: 25€ for adults / children 0-12 for free

We continue our way to Agiassos, a beautiful mountainvillage at the foot of Mount Olymp in the south of Lesvos, the greenest part of the island. Small cobbled streets, ceramics, woodworks and the pilgrim church of Virgin Mary.
