Cascades Yoga Hiking Pickleball Retreat

September 10-13, 2026

September has excellent weather, not too hot or cold

Please see below for room choices and price details

Roslyn, Washington

Come join us for our very first retreat in Roslyn, WA, as well as our very first retreat that includes pickleball!

“Roy and Liz are gracious and intuitive teachers and leaders, and both have a joyous energy.”

Suzanne, Everett

Theme: Lighten up and Play!

We humans can get very serious, in our heads, minds overloaded, disembodied. This retreat will be an exploration of embodiment: body movement, yoga, hiking, swimming, pickleball, as well as some great food, wellness workshops, meditation and prayer time, hot tub and fireplace time.

Price includes

Price includes 3 nights beautiful accommodations at the Skyline Lodge in Roslyn, near Cle Elum lake. Your payment also includes all meals (Dinner Thursday through Brunch Sunday), all classes, guided hikes and walks, hot tub, fireplace, pickleball access and more.

Teachers and Hike Guides

Roy Holman and Liz Gross will teach the yoga, lead the hikes and other activities, and even cook the delicious healthy, mostly organic meals. Roy has led over 120 retreats in Washington, Mexico, Guatemala, Hawaii, Bali, and Costa Rica. Liz joined Roy with her gifts in 2015, and co-lead over half of the 120+ retreats. This retreat is suitable for all yoga and hiking levels.  Both cook excellent, healthy, tasty meals.

Meals

Meals are included. Daily healthy, mostly organic breakfasts: usually a wide variety buffet of oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butters, breads, various milks (diary and non-dairy), fresh fruit, flax, hemp, coffee, tea, and much more. We will make sure all diets are met. Lunches and dinners will be delicious, healthy and variable meals cooked by Liz and Roy.

Please Note: We are happy to take the time to make meals that fit your needs and allergies. However, we ask for NO MALEABLE DIETS. By this we mean, if you request a certain diet, please stick to what you requested. We have had numerous attendees who request certain meals (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, etc.), but when actually at the retreat, after we took considerable time to make their separate meals, they decided to “change their mind” or “just go with the flow” and eat the food intended for the main group. This gives us extra work and also means there is less of the other food for those who did not request special foods. Again, we are happy to fit your needs, but if your request is just a preference–not an actual allergy–consider the extra work we take to make your food and be honest and considerate, thank you!

“TRANSFORMATIVE. This was my first yoga retreat. Hosts Roy and Liz deliver. They ooze kindness and contagious enthusiasm. With humor and a zest for life, Roy is quite the chef and serves up healthy satisfying meals. Liz is a studied healer and empath who takes time to listen. Every participant was involved in their own journey. Supportive concern not egos was the norm. I formed new friendships in healthy ways with shared experience and the enrichment of one on one conversations. If the world is my mirror, I feel beautiful. A warm, goosebump afterglow stays with me. Would I do this again? Absolutely without reservations. Thank you Roy and Liz.”

Elwyn, 2025 Sedona Retreat Participant

“Thank you, Roy and Liz, for all you did  to make this a wonderful heartfelt retreat. The care and concern you both showed for all of us was very evident. I am so glad I was able to participate in this beautiful Sedona retreat.”

Valerie, from 2021 Sedona retreat

Travel Details

Feel free to arrive at the retreat center anytime after 3pm on Thursday September 10, and we will finish at noon on Sunday. We will send you info on what to bring as we get closer. Basically, you need a yoga mat, hiking stuff, swim suit, pickleball paddle, etc. Note: of course you don’t have to do all activities! Pick and choose.

Hike Note: We request that you trust our expertise and experience. We all have different abilities in hiking pace and distance. We try to work it out so everyone gets what they need, but we do have a to honor our commitment to the group. This is a retreat with at least one hike (Friday, weather permitting) and possible a shorter silent meditation walk.

General Sample Itinerary of Trip

At least one daily yoga class (sunrise or sunset), daily meditations or prayer time (usually guided), healing workshop, one hike and one shorter, silent meditation walk, pickleball, lake swimming, hot tub, fireplace, and other activities. We expect to have about 12-15 max people attend. All classes, hikes, and activities are optional. September is ideal hiking weather.

Note: Please let us know if you already have a room mate you wish to share with. Please note that we will do our best to honor your request for double or triple as we arrange the rooms (probably no single rooms available).

Non-Discrimination Policy

Yoga is about unity and oneness, not divisiveness and polarity. All are welcome on our retreats. We do not discriminate for any reason, including sex, gender, race, age, vaccinated or unvaccinated, masked or unmasked. We trust you to take care of yourself, and to decide first, if this trip is for you, and second, how to take care of yourself. We will do our part to keep everyone safe and honor all our needs, but ultimately, your health is your responsibility. May this retreat be a healing experience for all.

Payment and Refund Policy

For those visiting from afar, we highly recommend trip and travel insurance. In rare cases, we have to cancel trips, and we cannot be responsible to cover lost airfare or other fees.  The global uncertainty and change of late (you may have noticed!) is another reason to purchase travel cancelation insurance.

We request a $100 deposit, balance due 30 days prior to trip.  Note:  Deposit is generally nonrefundable. 3/4 of later payment may be refunded if you cancel > 30 days prior to trip, 1/2 refund if you cancel 15 – 30 days prior to trip (depending on retreat center refund policy), no refund under 15 days prior to trip–unless I can get some money back from hotels and retreat center.

“I’m feeling great. The retreat was a healing experience for me and I also had a wonderful time with a great group of people. You did a superb job of planning and coordinating everything.”
